Do you remember your first job?

Mine was MindPath, and it involved writing a medical research paper. Thankfully, I was fresh out of college, so I had a little bit of experience—with the paper part, at least.

In addition to the research paper, which you can read (or skim, no judgment) below, I also acted as a copy editor for the rest of my team. It was a great side gig as I worked full-time as a barista. By the way, I can still make a mean pour over!

Behavioral Health Integration: Better Outcomes, Lower Costs

Abstract:
Many patients who have mental health symptoms or disorders also suffer from comorbid physical conditions, and vice versa. With current systems in place across the country, patients are required to visit multiple providers to address a variety of maladies in a process that is costly, time-consuming, and often results in discrimination or stigma related to mental health care patients or providers. Behavioral Health Integration, a system that combines primary healthcare with behavioral healthcare, is a proposed solution.
