28+ brands. 1 roof.

If you’ve ever bought furniture online, chances are you’ve browsed one of Wayfair’s brands. They run the gamut of styles from traditional to glam, modern to bohemian, coastal to industrial, and functional to French Country (also known as Kelly Clarkson-inspired).

Product Feature Encyclopedia

When I started at Wayfair, product descriptions were a new initiative, so we figured things out as we went along…that is until the Product Feature Encyclopedia was born.

Working in 2-week sprints, I managed a team of 5 to create a scalable content framework for new and existing members of our team. The PFE provides start-to-finish guidance for writing product descriptions, including the must-haves for each furniture category, how to talk about style, and the significance of materials, patterns, and structural design elements.

Then, I realized the PFE would need to be changed and updated over time. Adding content was pretty involved, so I created a Style Guide to make it easy to research, create, and format new pages.
